Creature Feature Has Covered “Grim Grinning Ghosts”, and It’s Ghoulishly Glorious!

Creature Feature has decided to release a cover song the first Friday of every October, and for their inaugural release they’ve chosen none other than Grim Grinning Ghosts from Disney’s Haunted Mansion.

Now, this is, without question, my FAVORITE SONG. Period. Barring all others. It has been since I was a kid. I’ve heard a dozen cover versions and, generally speaking, those who cover it tend to stick pretty close to the original.

Creature Feature, however, has very much made this song their own with their trademark carnival-from-the-underworld creepy calliope sound, and I love it – particularly the second half, which sounds like it’s being sung by the denizens of CF’s previous songs like “A Gorey Demise“. It’s a wonderful addition to any Halloween music collection and I can’t recommend it enough!
