Ghostly Sounds: A Haunting Experience (Power Records, 1974)
This classic series of “stories in sound” features a brief narrated intro for each vignette, then you hear each story played out in sound. Any Halloween-loving adult older than 40 will instantly recognize a lot of the sound effects used, as there seemed to be a common pool of them used for decades and, as a result, they can cause instant Halloween nostalgia. For younger listeners who might not be as familiar, this collection has a wonderfully charming retro spooky vibe.
