Dark Hall Mansion to Release Limited Edition IT’S THE GREAT PUMPKIN, CHARLIE BROWN Print On Oct. 1
From the DHM Blog:
This is Dark Hall Mansion’s absolute favorite time of year and there’s no funner way for us to kick it all off than with THE classic that lets everyone know Fall and the holidays are finally on the way.
Dark Hall Mansion, www.DarkHallMansion.com, is proud to release this year’s officially licensed print for Charles M. Schulz’s “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown.” On sale next Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at a random time between 9:30 AM PST and 11:30 AM PST!
Dark Hall Mansion’s invited artist this year is Dave Perillo and he brings his distinct style to bear with a multi-panel approach that captures many scenes from the beloved 1966 Schulz classic that we’ve never before had rendered. How great is it to finally see Linus writing the letter that sets it all off? Or being able to come along to a Halloween party that’s simply not to be missed! These, along with the classic Great Pumpkin moments that shaped all our childhoods, capture the charm and resonance that is “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown.” To hear the amazing and familiar strains of Vince Guaraldi’s music meant you took too long grabbing that Dolly Madison snack from the kitchen and it was time to run for the TV or wait another year to see Charlie, Linus, Lucy, a most upset young lady denied her treats, and of course, everyone’s favorite Beagle.
Want even more zing, check out Dave’s Variant where the colors just pop off his panels demanding attention. Both the Standard and Variant edition prints are a full 12″ x 36″ in format to truly allow the film to play out on your walls. Whether it’s Lucy’s highly suspect contract that sends poor Charlie sailing into the air once more, Linus’ unrestrained delight as he heads full speed right for Charlie’s Fall leaf rake, or Snoopy’s profoundly heartfelt interpretation of Schroeder’s musical stylings, it’s all here-Trick or Treating with the inimitable cloud that is Pigpen, Charlie’s epic “I Got a Rock,” and finally-the wall! Perhaps no image resounds as deeply for Peanuts fans worldwide and across generations than the shared wisdom and philosophy that is Charlie and Linus contemplating life at the wall. We think Dave closed his piece brilliantly with this frame and trust this is one print that’s sure to make everyone smile.
Linus: “Dear Great Pumpkin, I am looking forward to your arrival on Halloween night. I hope you will bring me lots of presents.”
YOU are the present Linus, you, Charlie, Sally, Lucy, Schroeder, Snoopy and Mr. Schulz, for all of us, for today, tomorrow, and for all generations to come. Timeless means something, classic means something, and goodness means something. Nowhere is this more evident than in Mr. Schulz’s legacy, and all of us at Dark Hall Mansion sincerely hope we can again bring smiles, joy and happiness to your homes, offices, bedrooms-anywhere-anywhere that a little boy, some friends, a singular beagle, and a MOST Great Pumpkin can show just how far a little faith can take us all.

Thank you for that Linus, and thank you Mr. Schulz, words cannot express.

Patty: [as Linus is writing to the Great Pumpkin] “You’re wasting your time; the Great Pumpkin is a fake!”
Linus: [ignoring her] “Everyone tells me you are a fake, but I believe in you. P.S., If you really are a fake, don’t tell me. I don’t want to know.”
