Ten Thirty-One Documentary Looking for Submissions

Every year, millions of people around the world gather together for one day to honor the weird, rejoice in being frightened, and celebrate the saints of old. This year, Giant Step Films is asking you to join them in the festivities. Be a part of Ten Thirty-One, an experimental documentary film created by user-generated videos.

This Halloween, turn on your cameras, and show Giant Step what makes this holiday important to you – your child going trick ‘r treating, bonfires, haunted houses, fall festivals! Tell them a scary story or share an event in your life that makes this day significant to you. No matter what it is you do to celebrate Halloween, they want to see it.

Interested in being a part of Ten Thirty-One? Here’s what you do:

1. Download and read the guidelines at tenthirtyonefilm.com.

2. Click “Sign Up” so they know you’re on board!

3. Film your Halloween. If your town/church/school/friends celebrate on another day, film that!

4. On November 1st, upload your video to either YouTube or Vimeo with the tag “tenthirtyonefilm”.

5. Come back to tenthirtyonefilm.com and click “Contact”. Email them your video’s URL address and your name!
