Rockin’ Halloween Song Updates

Rue Morgue Radio brought a couple of cool new versions of favorite classics to The Cult’s attention this week:

When they first started out (before they became one of the premiere industrial acts of the late 80s), Ministry was more of a synth-pop band. You’d have to have been living under a rock never to have heard their anthemic song (Every Day Is) Halloween:

Horror fans, goths and other Persons In Black have embraced this song over the decades for its message of “Hell YEAH every day is Halloween – you got a problem with that?” However, if we’re being honest, the song’s sound was hopelessly 80’s-dated (mmBop Bop)…
