Halloween on the Web : Pumpkin Rot
As promised, the Cult will (attempt to) post one Halloween-themed website per day that keeps the Spirit of Halloween alive all year long. Our inaugural post comes to us via House Bloodthorn via our Facebook Fan Page:
PUMPKIN ROT, an amazing record of one person’s passage from child to adult Halloween-lover, and how that childhood love of the magic and mystery of Halloween informed the adult he became. This guy so gets it. From his Prologue page:
“When my age restricted me from collecting candy on Halloween night (in any socially acceptable manner), I decided to do something about it. Halloween was the thrill of the year. It beat Christmas hands down. The entire night was spent unsupervised with your friends. Your face would be icy wet under a cheap plastic mask with a stapled rubber band strap. Your arms would be sore from a pillowcase loaded with candy…”
PumpkinRot.com hosts some of the most incredible Halloween imagery you will ever find, all created for their annual Halloween yard haunt displays. The Great Pumpkin salutes the amazing Jack O’ Lanterns and scarecrows on display on this site. They are astonishing.
Even better, they sell some of their creations.
So PumpkinRot.com, The Cult of the Great Pumpkin salutes and thanks you for making Halloween a better place, and we’re proud to start this series of posts with your site.
